What is the policy for registering for BSN in residential address

Question

My friend came to Amsterdam in September, and I got him registered at his company address and got BSN. He is currently living in an apartment without registration. What is the policy around it? For how long can he remain registered at the company address?

    They can browse the website of their local municipality and register online using DigiD; they don’t have to visit.
