For a Dutch citizen who intends to stay in India for more than eight months (due to medical emergency involving dependent parents)

  2. Is it mandatory to stop medical insurance?

What are the issues/disadvantages arising out of de-registering and stopping medical insurance?

    There are no limitations on a Dutch citizen staying outside the country. Please ask your local Geemente or a Dutch lawyer about Dutch law.
