If a player has been hit by a lighter, is it appropriate to continue the football game? Ajax and Feyenoord’s match was excellent up until one person or group of people seemed to act poorly. What action will the association take in response? I’m so perplexed.

    Absolutely agree. Following this week’s significant cup match incident, in which Ajax player Davy Klaassen was struck by a lighter thrown from the crowd, the Dutch football association has announced new steps to try to stop the rise in unrest at matches. The game will be stopped right away if something similar happens again. The lighter’s thrower has been taken into custody.
