Personalised card Costs €7.50* and is valid for five years. Anonymous card Buy at the ticket office or station vending machines. Costs around €7.50* and is valid for five years. Disposable card Buy at station vending machines or on the tram. A single journey ticket can be used for one hour after validation. Day and multi-day tickets are also available. Bicycle If you live and work in the same city, a bicycle or e-bike may be the perfect means of transport for you. This is normal in the Netherlands and it is a safe, fast way of getting around. And it not only keeps you fit and healthy, it's also cheap! Have an international driving license If you have a valid non-Dutch driving licence, you can use it for up to 185 days after moving to the Netherlands. After that period is up, you can only drive in the Netherlands with a Dutch driving licence. You can sometimes exchange your foreign driving licence for a Dutch one, for instance if you are a knowledge migrant working in the Netherlands and are eligible for the ‘30% tax facility’ provided by the Dutch tax authorities, or if the Netherlands has made an agreement with your home country

I do not know about age criteria but the employee must have been recruited from abroad and the employee must have lived on a distance of more than 150 kilometres from the Dutch border in 16 out of 24 for months before she/he arrived in the Netherlands. This has to be proven by documents

The 30% ruling is a Dutch tax exemption for employees who were hired abroad to work in the Netherlands. If your situation meets various conditions, your employer can pay 30% of your salary as a tax-free allowance

I agree, just give a sponsorship letter. It takes 20 mins to fill and get it signed/stamped at the gementee and also costs just 21 euros. It will expedite the processing of visa and also visa would be accepted. Otherwise you stand a chance of excessive delays and also rejection

  6. Recently I applied Visa for my father to visit me in the Netherlands. Today he received his Visa. I found that my father’s name was written twice on the stamp. On my father’s passport Surname is blank. His First name is “Chaitanya Kumar”, and the printed name on the Visa stamp is “Chaitanya Kumar, Chaitanya Kumar”. Will that be an issue?

Because the Netherlands is a Schengen member, you can use your Dutch business permit to travel and conduct business in any of the other Schengen countries. You can, however, only visit European countries that are Schengen members. Other countries would have to obtain their own permits. Only a few countries, including Croatia, allow you to enter without a Schengen visa
