I am leaving to the Netherlands in a few days, but I don’t know how the 30% tax ruling works. Could someone explain?

The 30% tax ruling in the Netherlands is a tax benefit for expats. It allows eligible employees to receive a tax-free allowance of up to 30% of their salary to compensate for additional expenses related to living and working in the country.

The ruling is granted for a maximum of five years and needs to be applied for by the employer on behalf of the employee. This begins once you enter the Netherlands.
