The Dutch have a number of banks to choose from, and most of them offer an online account or mobile app. If you want your bank to assist you with opening an account, it is important to do your research first and make sure to go in armed with all of your financial details (including any identification).
Here I am listing the documents/Identity you may require to open a bank account, choose the one that meets your requirement.
Your BSN number (Burgerservicenummer).
A valid form of ID (passport or identity card – often a driver’s licence is not acceptable)
Proof of address (i.e., a rental contract).
Residency permit if you come from outside of the EU.
