Vulnerability Management Specialist

As a Vulnerability Management Specialist, you will:

  • Configure and integrate Rapid7 with existing systems and data sources.
  • Perform testing and validation to ensure seamless deployment.
  • Identify and prioritize data sources for onboarding into Rapid7.
  • Onboard assets, cloud accounts, and web applications into Rapid7 modules, including InsightVM, InsightAppSec, and InsightCloudSec.
  • Conduct routine administrative tasks such as user management, system monitoring, ad-hoc scanning, asset management, and report management.
  • Develop and maintain troubleshooting guides and knowledge base articles.
  • Collaborate with vendors for support and issue resolution.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of Rapid7 configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Plan for disaster recovery and create contingency plans in the event of security breaches.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • 6–8 years of experience in IT security, specifically in a cybersecurity analyst role.
  • Strong expertise in threat and vulnerability management approaches, techniques, and tools.
  • Hands-on experience with Rapid7 solutions, including InsightVM, InsightAppSec, and InsightCloudSec.
  • Proficiency in schedule scan management, report configuration, and scanner deployment for Rapid7.
  • Working knowledge of API integrations.
  • Experience in asset group management, tag creation, and site configuration.
  • Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, security, and operations, to align Rapid7 solutions with business objectives.
  • Proven experience in managing stakeholder relationships and supplier engagements.

You Should Possess the Ability to:

  • Lead the deployment and management of Rapid7 solutions.
  • Ensure comprehensive security monitoring and threat detection capabilities.
  • Integrate Rapid7 with other security tools and platforms for seamless information sharing and incident response.
  • Work with security platforms such as Cisco Kenna, Splunk, and SIEM solutions.
  • Understand fundamentals of Cisco Kenna, asset management, and Risk Meter creation.
  • Stay updated on the latest security and technology developments.
